Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) - Koa/courtesy Posting
We're moving out of state at the end of November and we need to find a good family/home for my 9 year old Queensland Heeler mix named KOA. She stands about 22" inches at the shoulder and weighs about 55 lbs. The State of Hawaii has made it nearly impossible for us to take Koa with us. Aside from the huge sums of money that they want, the air transport, the 120 day quarantine and who knows what else they will make up... seems it'll be just way too much stress on her and us. We'd rather she be adopted by a good family here in Tucson. She's an indoors dog and is attentive. She doesn't bark unless something strange is happening outside. When out in the yard, she still acts like a puppy and runs and herds. She loves going for walks but needs a little help when there's other dogs nearby. She has never bitten anyone and is more of a "lick monster" than anything else. She is licensed and is up to date with all of her shots. She has a microchip and had been spayed before we got her in 2003. She just had a health check up with Dr Swenson at the Cortaro Farms Pet Hospital. Her diet consists of Nutro Max dry food and some fruits and vegetables. We have 11 months of Heartgard "treats" on hand.
Attached are some pictures of Koa.
Please help us find her a good family and home. I can help pay some of the adoption costs.
Regards,
Tom Seino
