My story

　　08/15/21 16:02 Atigun was surrendered to the shelter because he was being a nuisance in the neighborhood. He is a young dog that does not appear to have much training. He is very vocal, chews, digs, jumps on people, sits on the UPS and FedEx drivers, and is rough when playing. He is however housebroken and will go to the door to let you know he needs out. He also knows sit, fetch and ball. He needs a place where he can be contained and will not run away and cause trouble. Although he is affectionate, he is a giant boy (100+lbs) who doesn't know his strength especially around children. Due to his size and level of energy is would be easy for him to knock over a child, or injure them on accident because he is so rambunctious, so we are requiring he go to a home without children under 12 years old. He has a HUGE amount of energy and is very jumpy/pulls HARD on a leash, he will need a strong exerienced new family who can handle him. His previous owner said he was mean to strangers, but he met us with lots of licking and excitment, but please do take caution when introducing him to new people. His previous owner said he doesn't like dogs, cats, pocket pets or livestock, but we do not know to what extent he doesn't like them. While here at the shelter he was a little timid around some of the louder dogs and generally ignored them. Please take any animal introductions with caution as he is a big, strong guy. His previous owner said he gets overprotective of his family and will jump on strangers. He may be food posessive as well as he did give a growl to the animal tender when eating his food here at the shelter. Atigun would LOVE to go to a basic obedience course to teach him some manners and help him be more socilable with people. Atigun has been kept as an outdoor dog and may take some time adjusting to indoor life. He will need a TON of exercise!
