PLEASE READ ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM
FOR ADOPTION INSTRUCTIONS.
Astrid is an adorable white and brown Pit Bull puppy. She turned 2 months old in March and now she is ready for a loving home! She will be a large dog when full grown. She is a super friendly baby who loves to play and give kisses.
Astrid is a very smart puppy, who already knows to paw at the door to go potty. Shes also let it be known when we were in the car, where she makes a great passenger, riding quietly in her carrier unless she needs to go. She lets you know when she needs something at night, too, but once her need is met, she settles back down. Im sure if her forever person lets her sleep next to or in the bed, she would cuddle up and settle in for the duration. She does like plenty of attention from her people, but she can be independent and adventurous as well. She understands no, and will redirect her attention when you tell her, and she will gladly accept a toy over something that is not puppy appropriate.
The lucky person or family who adopts Astrid should be prepared for the lifelong commitment of owning a large-breed dog, and the daily exercise and training that smart, energetic breeds like Pit Bulls require.
It's not easy to find homes for adult Pit Bull mixes if you find out you can't keep them once they are full grown so please make sure you are committed for life if you adopt this baby. Many landlords don't allow Pit Bulls, so we do require that you own your home to adopt this breed mix.
Astrid is being fostered in Santa Cruz. Her adoption fee of $450 covers her spay surgery and first DHPP vaccination.
We will offer a $100 refund if Astrid's adopter achieves her CGC (Canine Good Citizen) certification before she is 3 years old.

Tailchaser Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill organization dedicated to rescuing cats and dogs from shelters where they are in danger. Our foster volunteers provide loving temporary homes for our rescued animals until they are adopted.
By adopting a cat or dog, you're making a commitment to provide love, care, and medical treatment for the life of the animal, which can be up to 20 years or more! We are committed to placing our rescued animals with families who are prepared for the responsibility of owning an animal for its entire lifetime, so that they are never again at the mercy of the shelter system. 3/26/18 11:02 AM
