Asher's story
This is Asher, he appears to be a beagle/lab mix, approximately 1 year old. He didnt learn how to be a dog when he was a puppy but hes learning quickly now! Asher needs a home with confident humans and at least one other confident dog to be his mentor and show him the ropes. He doesnt seem to mind cats and likes older children who can give him space when he needs it. Hes a sweet guy who picks his person and has a goofy personality! Asher is house trained, making progress on the crate training.
From Ashers foster mom: Asher came to us because he was scared of men, and he is a pretty fearful dog (he was scared of the bubbles in the bathtub last night) but he blossomed with other dogs to teach him and some obedience training. I would not recommend him for a home with inexperienced owners or first time dog owners, he needs people who understand that he has quirks and can be patient with him while he learns. And probably kids older than 10-12 that wont rough house him.
Asher came to BBCR as 4-5 month old puppy who had already been so damaged by his past that he didnt trust anyone. He has an amazing spirit and you can see in his eyes he wants a reason to trust. Slowly but surely hes coming around. He just needs a human that he can count on. If you think you could be what Asher needs, please apply at His adoption fee is $350.
