My story
08/09/21 15:07 Arya is a sweet girl that came in as a stray so we don't have any background info on her. While here at the shelter she has shown us both sides of her beautiful self. She can be very shy and submissive at times, especially if being leashed, or if someone approaches her head on. She shows you she's nervous by putting down her head and lying down or trying to back up. She will also submissively urinate when nervous. Once she is leashed and on walks she is super outgoing and confident! She pulls hard on a leash and will need some training in that department. Because of her shy and sometimes nervous behaviors we are requiring she go to a home with no children under 12 years old. If you have older kids, please teach them about some dog body language so they can read her when she is nervous. Arya seems to get along with the other dogs next to her kennel, but we can't guarantee she would be great with all dogs. We don't know how she would do with other animals so please make introductions slowly. She seems to like all her animal tenders here and we love her too. She is an absolute CUDDLE BUG! She would love to be a 24/7 couch potato too, but could really use some exercise and a diet as she is overweight. If you are interested in this gal, please give the shelter a call!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt ARYA, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
