Arctic's story
Arctic is extremely lucky to be here! He was surrendered to a shelter in California in November, was adopted and returned for being too hyper (not surprising for a husky), and was adopted a second time, but returned for killing a senior cat. We want to stress that MANY huskies, if not introduced to a cat at a young age, will have a high prey drive and could find themselves in this situation. After he was returned the second time, the shelter decided he was aggressive and placed him as a rescue only pull. We were able to get him out of there the morning he was supposed to be killed
we actually had to beg the shelter to let us take him the following morning since they wanted him gone that day! Lucky for him, a generous man drove to CA to bring him back to Arizona so he could get a second chance at life.
Arctic is honestly just a huge bundle of hyper, happy energy. He loves other dogs, loves to play, loves toys, loves treats, loves humans he loves pretty much everything (except cats!) and we are surprised that this sweet boy found himself in as dire straits as he did. He is a good dog but he is extremely high energy and needs a LOT of exercise, and needs to not be around any super small animals as he is prey driven. He has a lot of love to give and will be looking for his forever family very soon! His ideal home does not have small children (he is very jumpy) or small pets, and he would LOVE very active owners.
He needs a checkup and some vaccinations from us before he is ready to go! Let us know if youre interested in Arctic!
