*ANUBIS's story

　　Anubis (formerly known as GD) was surrendered because he has killed 400 of his owner''s quail and has been growling at their 6 year old child, mostly when he feels cornered (which is frequently, as they live in a small house). Despite his propensity for killing quail, Anubis is reportedly good with cats, chickens, geese, ducks, goats and horses. He lives inside with several ducks and has had chickens perch on him before. His previous owner stated that Anubis is a very good dog- he doesn''t get into garbage, into food, and has been started learning to mush. Anubis is housebroken (will stand at door when he needs to potty), and knows ''sit'', ''no pull'', ''outside'', and ''come''. Anubis needs to go to a home that has NO small children (older children are ok), no quail, and effective containment as Anubis will run away if allowed the chance. Anubis is reportedly friendly with other female dogs, possibly neutered males, but will fight intact males. Mutual visits with other dogs in the home are required, as well as no children 12 years and younger living in the home. Anubis is an indepent natured dog. He will be a great companion for someone who understands and appreciates that type of personality in a dog!
