Right here is a terrific piece of Texas history-- a set of theater chairs from the Saenger Theatre in Texarkana, Texas (now called the Perot Theatre). These are not two seats from a row, but an original separate connected pair with cast iron at each end! According to what I found online (links below), the Saenger Theatre was integrateded 1924 and reconditioned in the very early 1980s. These chairs appear like they're from the 1920s, though the furniture and seat springs are so good, I think the chairs have actually been recovered ever since, perhaps in the 1980s. The individual I bought these from told me no person has sat in them for 20 years (they were hidden in a corner of a storehouse building). The cast iron looks excellent, and the chairs appear to be comfortable. (No one should sit on these until they're mounted on a piece of wood; from the cast iron legs, the base determines 9" deep and 40" wide.) There is some wear and cracking on the wood seat backs; the armrests look excellent. I will certainly consider for partial trade antique video cameras, pocket watches, porcelain indicators, Civil War, WWI, or WWII items, or other antiques.
