This hairbrush has a metal frame and deal with, sculpted with complex designs. Into the back face is set a porcelain oval with an image of a lily on it (this is cracked down the middle, but will certainly still remain in place). The location where the bristles are is made from wood that has actually been chipped away somewhat in places. The majority of the bristles are still there, although they have actually been cut down to an eighth of an inch or less.
I would guess that this old hairbrush is from the early to middle 1900s.
