# 1365tg - This is a fantastic antique tin mechanical toy carousel from the turn of the 20th century. This piece is unmarked but resembles a few of the toy carousels made by the Gunthermann Co from this time period. This piece stands 5" high and the base is 3.75" in size. It is still operational - when you turn the lever the equines go round & & round - since the floor of the carousel is slightly tilted, the steeds also appear to go up & & down. Underneath the tin base is the mechanical wheel that runs the toy and on the top is a little embossed tin umbrella. This piece is a remarkable antique toy, showing its time used beauty as it retains simply a residue of its initial paint. A good addition to any antique toy pickup.
