Perfect example of an white "chippy" repainted piece!
This antique 1800's American Empire dresser and/or sideboard in terrific condition! It'stiger oak drawers and HUGE mirror are sooo lovely. This buffet (or sideboard) has extraordinary detail, yet at the exact same time is basic and sophisticated. A straight cut leading blends into the rolled front silverware and napkin drawers and are flat front drawers on either side. The wonderfully rolled legs go all the method down the sides for a marvelous look. The silverware drawer is lined with the initial green velvet. The napkin and linen drawers are not lined. The 2 big bottom drawers offer adequate space to keep all your treasured linens. Imagine having this piece of old time workmanship sitting in your dining space! They just don't make furniture like this anymore.
The hardware on the top drawers are initial and the bottom hardware has actually been changed to offer it a bit even more of that farmhouse/cottage feel. Great size and shape for dresser or as a buffet in your Dining Room. This would also make a great vanity for a bathroom as well as a corridor or entranceway piece. Has original wheels and can potentially be made use of in the kitchen as a rolling island.
This is simply a terrific piece all around and would make a beautiful addition to any "Shabby" Cottage decoration!
