Selling my Mom's very first luggage, acquired by her in 1950. It is light green in color. According to its labels it is a Schwayder Bros design 4051 Samsonite made in Denver, Colorado. Schwayder Bros is the initial producer of Samsonite and eventually changed the company name to Samsonite in the '70's.
For its 65 year old age it is in quite nice shape on the whole, with a pants bar and elastic area separator that still work fine. Side pockets and straps are intact too. Nevertheless it does have some water staining on the inside bottom. I believe this can be very carefully cleaned but I have actually not tried.
Case is 21 inches wide, 18 inches high. It is slightly larger on its bottom end, about 9 inches thick. This narrows to about 71/2 inches thick at the top.
Great for an art student or somebody who requires something larger than a typical connect. Strapped to the baggage rack on a Vespa scooter you 'd absolutely make a fashion statement!
