This antique armchair is carved with guys on each of the legs extending from all-time low. There is sculpting on the arms too with an acanthus leaves on each arm. Furthermore, there is scroll design below the material above the seat. The chair is made from quartersawn oak and has a wood back. It is 41 inches high, 25 inches broad and 20 inches deep. The chair is covered with muslin. The design is normal of that made by RJ Horner and other custom-made makers from 1865 to 1890. We believe this dates to that period. The webbing on the bottom has actually come loose. There is a small area where the wood is missing on the back of the chair.
