Exceptional period American painted fancy side chair with it's original rush seat. Nicely turned legs feature fabulous reeded spade feet. Outstanding state of original preservation, with only wear and patina from age, no damage or repairs. Back of the chair has wonderful 6 sided supports, short finials, stylized spindles, beautiful gilt flowers, leaves, and trim, as well as the same gilt design on the legs.
