I am taking offers on this antique steed conceal sleigh blanket and gloves. It has to do with 60 x 67 inches and has a wool backing. This belonged to my great grandfather and from the study I have actually done I believe it was made by a tanning company from DesMoines, IA. My great grandpa was born in Dewit, IA in 1876 and was married in IA in 1887. The label is gone and it does show some wear however has been in storage for years so it is still in good condition. These were called "lap robes" and were made use of for heat in buggies and sleighs and later on in the first automobiles. It would be a terrific accent for a country home or cabin, fantastic as a wall hanging or stair cover.
