This stately battleship made from very early American pushed glass was sold by the EC Flaccus Company as a container for spices (mustard), circa 1914. Nowadays, it would more most likely be ridden as a candy dish. It determines 61/8" long by 35/8" large by overall height of 4". Embossed is "Wheeling" which was a warship in the Spanish-American war (Wheeling is the only recognizing mark on the piece.) We can discover no fractures or chips, though there is a little dot of dark color in one area. This is a stunning opaque antique mustard dish with a blueish tinge to the glass in some parts. The top has smokestacks and window information, the bottom has windows and chains on it.
100 years of history, all in this little covered dish!
