My story

　　Must be only pet. Don't worry, he has lots of love to give. Some backstory...In the middle of December 2016, we received numerous calls from good samaritans regarding a dog that seemed to be living in the woods near the Christiana Mall. After speaking with several people, it is believed that this poor guy had been living out there since October 2016. This poor boy would lay next to the guard rail watching the cars go by, but when any kind person approached him, he would run. The volunteers at A Buddy For Life went out to the location to scout the area and decide the best course of action. He was living in an area where he had access to dumpsters for food, a stream for water, and a dilapidated abandoned old trailer for shelter. He had his own lonely life carved out for himself. Our volunteers spotted him a few times, but no matter how much coaxing and chicken they had, he would run out of fear. After all, someone probably dumped him out there. How could he ever trust a human again? We decided to set a humane trap in the hopes of catching him. He was pretty elusive. After 26 days of checking the trap around the clock, he finally went in after some liverwurst. Now the real work would begin..The good news? Andy was just scared and needed to know he wasnt on his own anymore. After two days of being with us, he showed us that he wants to be with people, wants to be surrounded by love and wants a family to call his own. He now spends his days in a foster home lounging on the couch and being the dog he has always wanted to be. He is great with people that he has met so far. He loves to go for walks and car rides! Andy is a fun loving, keep you warm at night kind of guy. His loyalty and zest for life knows no bounds. He only asks one thing in returnto be the apple of your eye as the only four legged love in your life. He is housebroken, neutered and up to date on vaccinations. His adoption fee has been sponsored.
