This is a 1981 American LaFrance Fire Engine that served in FDNY as Engine 258 until its retirement in 2000. It has a Detroit 2 stroke Diesel, Allison Automatic Transmission, Air Brakes, and fully enclosed seating for 7 occupants. It pumps and drives beautifully. All of the emergency lights, siren, and air horn work. It is currently owned by our volunteer fire department where it has always been in a heated garage. We use it strictly for parades and shows, it does not go out on real calls. We purchased a new "project truck" and need to sell this one for the room. We are asking $5000 or best offer.
