American Bulldog - Dozer - Medium - Adult - Male - Dog
Dozer is a four year old American Bulldog. He had a rough start to life, but has made amazing progress since coming into foster care with Adopt A Bull. He came to us extremely emaciated and neglected with severe muscle atrophy in his left hind leg. It was determined that he is Valley Fever positive and is currently being treated with Fluconazole, which is an inexpensive, daily, anti-fungal medication. He has regained muscle and uses his leg normally now, although he is a bit stiff after lying down for extended periods of time. He is a typical bulldog, loves his food and his family. He does well with other dogs especially females and enjoys playing with his Kong toy. He is very well mannered, crate trained and willing to please. He loves his comfy bed and tummy rubs. He has a big HOWL especially when he hears sirens. He is a very calm, mellow, couch-potato kind of guy, but will need someone who is willing to commit to his ongoing Valley Fever treatment including periodic bloodwork and medication. He is currently on a grain free diet to help his delicate digestive system and his tendency to skin rashes. Supplements are also recommended to continue his healing process. He has a 'special' kind of tail, corkscrewed from birth which does require attention and cleaning after he eliminates.
