Amelia's story
AMELIA (KENTUCKY)
Amelia is a 7.5-pound, 4-year-old (estimated) Yorkie girl being fostered in Elizabethtown, KY.
Amelia was rescued along with 700 other dogs from a South Georgia puppy mill. Amelia and so many others were used to make lots of puppies and generate lots of money for the puppy mill owner. The puppies they produced were beautifully staged on their website posed in cute outfits on mounds of fluffy white feathers with bows in their hair while Amelia and all the other puppy parents languished in a warehouse with crates stacked floor to ceiling with only the most basic provisions. Amelia should be bitter and afraid of all humans but miraculously, she is NOT! Amelia is a cuddle bug who loves nothing more than to sit in her persons lap and soak up the love. Like the other mill dogs, Amelia suffers from hair loss, skin irritation, and dental neglect. Amelia will have her spay and dental scheduled soon and is well on her way to becoming the Yorkie princess she is destined to become! If youd like to help this Yorkie Princess in the making to become just that.it is easy to do!
