Amelia's story
Owner surrender because they were moving. Owner's story: She has lived with young adults ages 16 and older, and has been playful and friendly, but jumped on and knocked over children (non-aggressively) outside of the home. Is good with dogs in and outside the home, and has lived with a male and female cat. She is housebroken and stands by the door when she needs to go outside. Has been left alone for 4 to 5 hours without incident. She is crate trained and sleeps there at night. She can be destructive and loves to chew and chase tennis balls. She knows sit and can walk well on a loose leash. She is good in the car and will bark when she hears strange noises. She is good while being groomed, bathed, brushed, and getting her nails clipped. Come play with this pretty lady today! Staff Notes: Push & Pull/Rough & Rowdy Player - dog friendly, but can be socially selective about the dogs she likes. Tends to get attached to one dog in the group (usually a male) and gets jealous of any other dog messing with her favorite, which can sometimes lead to an altercation. Has a lot of energy and anxiety, and would likely do better one-on-one with a dog rather than in a large group. Lots of barking during playgroups and is a loud player (growling).
