Hand tame, mature Amazon Parrot. I bought her a number of years ago for $ 1,200. Was originally told she is a Panama Amazon. Ended up she is actually a cross between a Double Yellow Head and a Yellow Nape. She's had 2 different cage mates over the span of 3 years (that was several years ago) but both males were really aggressive to her, so she was transferred to a cage of her own. Because she became mature (about 5 years ago), she began to pluck her front and shoulders. Occasionally she would stop and enable them to grow back in, but would eventually resume plucking.
She's an exceptionally great talker, sings, whistles and gives kisses. She likes dark-haired females and some guys, however inclines just one or two favorite people. She is not for kids. She requires more one-on-one attention than I can offer her now. She needs somebody who will certainly have the ability to give her a great deal of attention, ideally someone who is house the majority of the time. She likes being out of her cage and hanging with or near her human friend. I choose that she go to a home that does not have a lot of birds already. One or two birds, maybe, however not to where there are already various birds, as I feel she would not receive the attention she needs if in a house filled with numerous birds. She'll need a big cage of her own in a non-smoking home that has no cats.
Willing to ship within Alaska or west coast. Buyer would pay shipping and Vet expense for wellness certificate required for shipping, in addition to a $ 300. re-homing fee.
She is not a rescue situation. I can (and choose) to wait until the right person/home goes along. She's a wonderful parrot with a fantastic character. I hate to provide her up however she is worthy of to be in a home where she'll get even more attention.
