　　Meet Althea! She is a really sweet 3yr old, 13lb min pin. She absolutely loves people. She follows her foster around the house quite a bit and is very excited to see them every time they get home. We think she would probably do best as the only dog in the house; she does okay with her four-legged foster brother, but if he tries to invade her personal space or play she will do a low growl until he moves. It is possible that she is just adjusting and would do okay with another dog who respects her personal space. We think she would be fine with kids of any age as long as they are respectful of her small size. She jumps right in the car to go on a ride but she tends to get a little car sick. Her foster family has a rabbit that she has been uninterested in so we believe she is probably fine with any animal that will respect her space. She loves to cuddle with people and sleeps next to my foster dad at night. Althea is spayed, microchipped and current on her vaccines. Her adoption fee is $250 which helps Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs, vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. 　　All of our dogs are in private volunteer foster homes, and as such these individuals are most qualified to answer any questions regarding the dog.

　　We do not have a central shelter or kennel locations - you must make a private one-on-one meet and greet appointment with each individual dog at the foster family's convenience. To protect our foster families' privacy, we must have an APPROVED adoption application on file before we release their contact information.

　　All of our dogs are fixed (spayed/neutered) and up to date on shots. We have a 2 week foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog is a fit for your family. Adoption fees vary from dog-to-dog.

　　Please note that an approved application DOES NOT guarantee that the dog will be placed with you. The final decision rests with our fosters as they know the dogs the best, and please be aware that there may be other applicants interested in the same dog. We continue accepting applications on a dog until the dog is with the new adoptive family in their home.
