AKG: Two 418's and one 419.

　　These mics are made for tracking percussion instruments, whether it be toms, congas or snares. I've been using them with a lot of success on toms and used to use them on snare drum also till I bought a Nueman KM84.

　　As far as tom mics go, these mics recreate the sound of the instrument exceptionally accurate and are excellent for tracking acoustic, reggae, blues, jazz, folk and gospel.

　　Audix: Two D2's and one D4's.

　　On the other end of the spectrum, these mics are pre tailored to give your drum tracks major punch and depth. These are better fit for Rock, Pop, Metal and Country. The D4 is likewise exceptional on kick drum, sounding extremely comparable to an AKG D112.
