The Accuphase P-500 is a high-performance stereo power amplifier known for its robust output and high-quality sound reproduction. This is a real vintage classic for old school hi-end experience. It sounds and looks great. I had this amp for decades and used it in many systems. I would say that outside of pure A class solid state amps it still rocks. It features a sophisticated design with six parallel push-pull transistors per channel and a MOS FET equivalent for the front stage. The amplifier employs Accuphase's original DC servo system to stabilize DC drift and prevent speaker damage. It also includes a subsonic filter and a logarithmic compression pointer meter for reading dB and output watts. The P-500 can be used as a monaural power amplifier with a bridge connection switch. It has 2 RCA or XLR balanced inputs and 2 speaker outputs only 1 speaker pair can work at the time. No remote control, no original box. General look of the unit is good, and it is fully functional. It does have a minor dent on the right side under the plastic handle. It operates only one pair of speakers - A . It does have high quality speak post connectors upgraded but only one pair of connectors are operational, the other pair needs to be connected internally. Here are some of its key specifications and features:Power Output: It delivers 250 watts per channel into 8 ohms in stereo mode, and 840 watts into 8 ohms when in mono mode.Frequency Response: The amplifier has a frequency response range of 20Hz to 20kHz.Total Harmonic Distortion (THD): It boasts a very low total harmonic distortion of 0.01%.Damping Factor: The damping factor is 500, indicating its ability to control speaker motion and reduce distortion.Input Sensitivity and Impedance: The input sensitivity is 1.78V, with speaker load impedance ranging from 2 ohms to 16 ohms.Signal to Noise Ratio: It has an impressive signal-to-noise ratio of 120dB.Dimensions and Weight: The P-500 measures 480 x 218 x 445mm and weighs 33.5kg.Semiconductors: The unit contains 82 transistors, 10 FETs, 8 ICs, and 79 diodes.Located in US for the last 10+ years and operating on 110V.
