One of a kind, Anangu Aboriginal dot painting by "Elsie" from the famed Maruku Workshop in Uluru, Northern Territory, Australia. This one of a kind, acrylic painting titled "Mai Wiri" depicts food from the Outback native habitat including Tjala ( honey ants), Arnguli (bush palm) and other berries as well as the Aboriginal symbols for male and female. 6" by 8" painting is floated on a linen mat with a wooden frame that reflects the dot technique style of the painting. Purchased in a gallery in Ulura, near Ayers Rock, in 2002. The picture is not signed as the artist was illiterate, but it is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Museum quality framing.
