A fine old cello with an amazing sound full of power. The cello is suitable for professional musician and professional cello playing. It is in original condition with some well repaired cracks on the top. No cracks in the soundpost area. The scroll is grafted. A very fine work with a good choice of wood and in all essential parts original. A little piece of wood was added on the top.
The back is made of beautiful one-piece maple with nice flames. The ribs are of wood similar to the back and the top is made of spruce of medium and regular grain. The scroll is made of wood similar to the back. The varnish is reddish-brown on a golden-yellow ground. The cello shows some wear but is still in good condition.
The cello has been well set-up and is ready to play with a new set of Strings: (A+D Larson) and (G+C Thomastik Spirocore). The fingerboard projection is proper and a new soundpost has been fitted.
