Description

Musical scarf, boxes, rare LPs vintage harmonica for the musician and flutist Trinket box with coloured glass music staff and flowers on top $4.50 4 5/8 x 2 3/8 x 1 3/8" (incl feet) The box is made of a mirrored bottom, heavy bevelled glass sides and ends, brass edging & feet, coloured glass top with what looks like could be actual lead outlines. It is amazingly well constructed. Reuge Music Box playing Brahms Lullaby $3.00 4.5" long, 2.25" wide, 2" high From around 1950 Mechanism appears to function just as it should. All notes speak correctly and in thythm. Box is in excellent condition. Although the stain is dark, the unfinished wood grain inside looks much more likely to be maple. Bottom is definitely mahogany, probably 1/8" veneer. Top features an Alpine scene, very muted. Not sure if the scene is painted on wood, or another material attached to wood. 2 rare Lpsmade in very limited numbers at time of pressing Doriot Anthony Dwyer, flute; Susan Mandel, piano LP (vinyl) $5.00 PERFORMING WORKS OF JOHN LA MONTAINE Disc contains Conversations for Flute and piano, Sonata for Flute Solo, Come Into My Garden This was a limited pressing LP from 1980 which has never been released on CD, at least to my knowledge. The performance is outstanding, as one would expect from the long-time Boston Symphony principal flutist and first woman to join the orchestra. She commissioned several works by La Montaine and really understood his musical language. The disc and art work look to be in excellent condition, but since I no longer have a turntable, I cannot give absolute assurance. The Denver Symphony Orchestra Live at Boettcher $4.00 Produced in 1983 for the KVOD Denver Symphony Marathon Originally recorded as part of the KVOD broadcasts of the DSO Contains music of Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Scriabin While the album has been slit open, it looks like the LP has never been played This is a rather unique piece of Denver's cultural history, but I no longer have the equipment to play it Also a huge box of classical sheet music, mostly flute with some vocal and violin, excellent editions, very good condition. I am a professional flutist (now in music management) so I was quite careful with my library. Contact me by phone or email for list.
