This is a beautiful Anasazi Indian Print by Betty Van Dusen Titled "Where Dwelt the Ancients of the Rock" Wooden frame, double matted, with authentic Anasazi pottery shards in the lower right hand side of the picture. Betty is from New Mexico and it?s not often that her work is up for sale. Signed on the picture, plus her hand written notes on the back We purchased this, as you see it, in the '70s while on vacation in the southwest and paid $420 for it then, as presented here. We have thoroughly enjoyed it over the years but our new home has no place for this style of picture. So, it's time to pass it on for someone else to enjoy. Posted for your review are numerous pictures which you can supersize to see up close the great condition everything is in; Print, Pottery pieces, professional framing, backing, comments and authentication paperwork. (Sorry for the reflections). Please note the picture that references that the genuine Anasazi pottery shards used in this painting were legally obtained. Refer to picture for more info. The Buy-it-now price is based on the few auctions of her other prints that had pieces of pottery in them, over the past many years. Everyone has verified that her work isn't easily found and is highly sought after. I was unable to find this piece anywhere for sale or sold as far back as searches would go. A New Mexico company that specializes in Indian art and artifacts became my best source, having sold some of her prints in the past. They concur that $285 is more than fair considering the condition, quality of the framing and being a rare Van Dusen that they have never had available for re-sale.
