This is a 1969 Triumph Trident in original condition.This is the first production year, one year only body style. Its the sister bike to the BSA Rocket 3. The serial number is #172 (the production started at #101). The info I have on this bike is that it was originally shipped to Johnson Motors in Duarte California in September 1968. I received that information from the TR3OC (owner club in the UK). Bike is in very original condition, paint, chrome, and rare ray gun exhaust is all original. There are some very small dents, scratches, and some chrome pitting. It has a new seat on it and an aftermarket electronic ignition installed. The ignition is a Boyer electronics. The speedometer and tach have been rebuilt by Nisonger Instruments (Smith instrument service center). It has the original number matching 750cc 3 cylinder engine. The engine was rebuilt by the previous owner. This bike starts, runs, and shifts good, a slight tune up might improve its performance a little better. I have ridden this bike to a few vintage bike shows and have gotten many complements. The mileage is 10708, but might change very little due to it being ridden just a little bit.
