Please call owner Karl at . Boat is in Norfolk, Virginia.
They say that when you buy a sailboat, plan on spending an equal amount in upgrading and outfitting. If you are looking for a sailboat that needs nothing read further. I purchased this sailboat a little more than a year ago as part of my retirement plans. I purchased it from the family of the original owner. It was in very good condition, however it had the original very basic outfitting, being used primarily as a daysailer. I have spent the last year or so totally upgrading and outfitting to make it the perfect comfortable weekend cruiser. I have spent in excess of my asking price on just the upgrades and outfitting. Just about everything on the boat is brand new. Here's a partial list of some of the new upgrades and outfitting: Dual Battery System, 30 amp Shore Power, Automatic Bilge Pump, Head, Plumbing, and Holding Tank, Fresh Water Holding Tank, Ventilation Fan, LED Interior Lighting, Companionway Hatch with lock, Standard Horizon CP190i GPS Chartplotter, Standard Horizon GX1700 25 Watt Marine Transceiver, Sony Marine CDX-H91OUI AM/FM/CD/IPOD Stereo System, Clipper Duet Depth/Speed, Clipper Wind System, Compass, Tri-Radial Main, Tri-Radial Jib, Storm Sail, Jib Bag, Mainsail, Tiller, Winch Covers,
Cajun Running Rigging Complete System, Docking Lines, Fenders, Mustang Inflatable Life Jacket (2), Stearns Inflatable Life Jacket (2), Mustang Life Jackets (2), Stearns Type I Life Jacket (4), Microwave, Alcohol Stove, Salon and V-Berth Cushions, Complete set of charts, cruising guide, navigational instruments, extensive library of sailing books and references, and much more. The bottom was done last year. Every thing you will need is there and is brand new: flares, fire extinguishers, dishes, pots/pans, silverware, cooking utensils, life rings, and more. There is also an ICOM BC-152 Handheld VHS Radio. An additional Genoa and two Spinnaker sails are included. I also have a like new Zodiac 260RU with Nissan 3.5 HP Outboard in excellent condition that is not included but I will sell for an additional $1,000. I just spent almost $400 getting the outboard completely overhauled to insure perfect running condition. Here are the specification for the DuFour 27: LOA 27'3", Beam 9'2", Draft 5'2", Headroom 6', Engine Volvo Diesel MD6A 10 hp. After all this work, why am I selling? I am an ordained minister and I am going to be doing missionary work full-time overseas for the next three years. I actually live in Edenton, NC and the Dufour 27 is berthed in Norfolk, VA. I will show by appointment only. Title in hand. Serious inquiries only. I believe that if you are seriously looking for a sailboat this size and price range and you see it, you will buy it.
