Call Boat Owner Thomas .We have to sell Lazy Daze due to an upcoming move and the purchase of a larger boat. We have sailed the past 4 summers on fresh water lakes including Strawberry Reservoir in Utah and Lake Tahoe. The 26rk is perfect for rapidly changing conditions on these high mountain lakes. Lazy Daze has exceeded my expectations for a boat this size with it's sailing ability, functionality, and practicality.
The Seaward 26RK combines classic lines with high-tech design features that advance performance, functionality, and safety. RK stands for "Retractable Keel" which is raised and lowered by an electric winch controlled from the cockpit. Draft ranges from fifteen inches to six feet. The rudder is also retractable with easy access from the swimming platform. This allows for adjustments while underway to optimize the draft for varying wind conditions and water depths. The 26RK is ideal for lakes, coastal sailing, gunkholing, ICW, trailer sailing, and even beaching. The retractable low drag high aspect ratio keel has a 1,200 lb. lead 'torpedo' bulb at the bottom where ballast is most effective. A modern hull design and efficient keel combine for a stable yet spirited sailing experience. Lazy Daze has been sailed mainly on fresh water lakes. Winter storage has been indoor and climate-controlled.
