I'm selling an unusual vehicle - an Electric ZTR Reverse Trike.
This is also called an autocycleor a trike car. As you see in the photos, it's a very interestingdesign. It's similar to that of a Polaris Slingshot in that it hastwo wheels in the front and one in the back. It is a much cheaper version that similar reverse trikes. As it is electric, thistrike is very quiet . (It is equipped with a blue tooth speakerwhich you can hear very clearly without needing head or ear phones.)Here are the statistics aboutthis vehicle which were provided by the manufacturer: Battery type: 72V 150AhLithium battery Motor: 72V
10kW Wheel Hub DCMotor Controller: 48V – 96V, 460A Max Speed: 120km/h
(74 mph) Charge time: 4 hours (220Vinput) or 8 hours (110V input) Rear wheel drive withhydraulic disk brakes**************** I ordered this vehicle from afactory in China back in late May and it arrived here in Waco, Texasback in early August. As I quickly found out, this auto trike is alot of fun to drive! The three wheel design gives it a very stablefeel. It's also great that it doesn't require buying gas andcharges using standard 110v.It is a two seater with bothseats equipped with seat belts. This trike has low and high beamlights, turn indicators, brake lights and emergency flashers. It isautomatic so you just turn the key on and press down on the accelerator. It does have a reverse mode as well.I hope my photos give you a good idea as to how the trike looks. It is definitely an attention getter! There are a few paint scrapes which occurred doing shipping. There are somewhat visible in the photo that shows the back of the trike.I think the manufacturers claimthat it can go 74 mph is greatly exaggerated. My guess is it's closer toaround 50 mph which would
have been fine for me just driving aroundtown here in Waco where most speed limits are around 40 mph.I hate to be selling this trike, but have ran into several problems: I was able to get insurance for it,plus it passed Texas state inspection as a motorcycle so it is streetlegal.
I ran into difficulty when I tried to get it registered. It comes under a new classification in our state as being an autocycle. TheDMV in Texas is requiring it to have an HS-7 form for which I havereceived conflicting information as to how to get this form. I hadpaid for door-to-door delivery, which included the trike goingthrough customs at the port in Houston. Unfortunately, I did not receive copies of any of the U.S. Customs paperwork and have beenunable to find out how to get copies of any of the paperwork showing it wasprocessed. The other problem I encounteredconcerns the speedometer.
Your speed is shown in km/h and not mph. When I ordered the trike I falsely assumed you would be able to switch thespeedometer to one mode or the other, but unfortunately, you can't. This is apparently another deal breaker in getting it registered to legally drive on public streets in Texas. The deadline for me to be able to return it for arefund has passed, plus having to ship it back to China would be acostly pain in the neck. I've decided my best option is just to sellit.Everything works fine on thetrike, but with one exception.
The display that shows your speedalso shows the level of battery charge.
This function has neverworked, it always just shows one red square at the bottom of theindicator. There is fortunately a way around this. If you have aniPhone, there is a free app called FarDriver which you download. This app will show you your battery charge, along with a number ofother settings. It does allow you to make changes as to your maximumspeed, but there is no manual telling you what all this means and Iwas hesitant to make any changes myself. Here is something else that's a bit confusing about this trike. The Certificate of Origin I received indicates this is a 2023 model as it was just assembled back in May. However, when you run a check on the VIN, it comes up that this is a 2021 model. I can only assume an older frame was used, but a new motor, batteries, etc. were recently put in.If you are interested in biddingon this trike, I would strongly encourage you to come to Waco to tryit out first for yourself, especially since this is an AS IS Sale with no refunds. Also, all shipping arrangements need tobe made by the winning bidder.Should you have any questions, please contact me for more information. On Oct-01-23 at 14:47:48 PDT, seller added the following information:Please note: as this trike was manufactured in China, it does not come with a Title. It instead comes with a Certificate of Origin which I will include.
