This is a pair of older and sophisticated wall sconces which were discovered in storage at the Boca Raton Hotel years back by an employee during a restoration. Thought to be made in Mizner's wrought iron metal works in Palm Beach in the 20's but uncertain. These resemble some of the items you see in old photos from Boca Raton Historical Society or Palm Beach Historical Society. Great additions for old Mizner home. The images show the hole in the bottom. They did not stand atop a metal pole; rather, they were mounted to a wall accessory to act as sconces. They are 4 feet large and about 20 inches high. We cannot find anything similar for sale online or at a gallery. Smaller similar sconces cost $4,000.00. These are historic regional artifacts.
