2,177-Mile 2012 Ducati Hypermotard

This 2012 Ducati
Hypermotard 796 is powered by an air-cooled 803cc L-twin paired with
a six-speed transmission and finished in red over a matching steel
trellis frame. Equipment includes a Marzocchi fork, a Sachs
monoshock, 17″ forged aluminum wheels, triple Brembo disc brakes,
and a single-sided swingarm and rear subframe constructed from
aluminum. The motorcycle has been modified with a Ducati Performance
engine control unit, a Termignoni two-into-one exhaust system, a
Sargent two-up seat, ASV clutch and brake levers, and carbon-fiber
accessories. This Hypermotard 796 has 2177 miles.
Included are
removed parts, manufacturer’s literature and a CD, service records,
spare parts, a tool kit, a bike lift, and a clean Arizona title in my
name.
The Pierre
Terblanche-designed bodywork is finished in red over a matching steel
trellis frame and a silver-finished aluminum subframe. Features
include a Sargent two-up seat, a front quarter fairing with an
integrated high front fender, and a side stand as well as
carbon-fiber accents including the fuel tank cover, tail section
trim, and front and rear fenders.
Forged 17″
aluminum wheels are finished in satin black and wear older 120/70
front and 180/55 rear Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tires. Suspension
consists of a Marzocchi inverted fork along with an adjustable Sachs
monoshock that is mounted to the aluminum single-sided swingarm.
Braking components include dual 305mm discs with radially-mounted
Brembo Monobloc four-piston calipers up front and a 245mm disc and a
two-piston Brembo caliper at the rear.
The black-finished
alloy handlebar is mounted to the top triple clamp via a riser and
carries bar-end mirrors, hand guards with integrated turn signals,
and ASV brake and clutch levers. Instrumentation consists of an LCD
screen with a digital speedometer, a bar-style tachometer, and
various additional functions.
The air-cooled 803cc
L-twin features an oil cooler, desmodromic valve actuation, and
Marelli electronic fuel injection with 45mm throttle bodies.
Modifications include a two-into-one Termignoni exhaust system, a
Ducati Performance engine control unit, carbon-fiber timing belt
covers, and a K&N air filter. An oil change was performed in
January 2021.
Power is sent to the
rear wheel through a wet multi-plate clutch, a six-speed
transmission, and a drive chain. The swingarm is equipped with
carbon-fiber chain guards. The removed parts, manufacturer’s
literature and a CD, service records, spare parts, a tool kit, and a
bike lift are included.
