The aircraft is powered by two fuel efficient Pratt & Whitney dual FADEC controlled PW535-E engines providing redundancy and automated engine control, fuel consumption is as much as 6% better than originally estimated and also features trailing link landing gear for softer landings, a hot-air anti-ice system, and a brake-by-wire system with anti-skid capability for better braking.
