I have for sale a recently rebuilt 2006 SV1000s. This bike was in a wreck by a friend of mine last year and I offered to fix it up for him. The frame and fork are perfectly straight and it drives great. A little over 15,000 miles. I'll try to list what I can on here what work I have done to it:
-new gas tank
-new rear tire (less than 500 miles on it)
-new front tire (less than 50 miles)
-new chain
-new battery
-new brake and clutch levers
-new clutch reservoir
-replaced the shifter lever with a used
-plastics painted to match black tank
-custom headlights and brackets
-new front blinkers
-front right rotor (replaced with an identical one from ebay)
The speedometer plug got sheared off in the crash so I spiced a new plug onto it. Everything electrical is working (except the horn; didn't get around to that). All wire work has been soldered and wrapped in shrink tubing.
The bike had the fender eliminator kit from the previous owner.
Everything is mechanically sound. Starts and idles great, no fluid leaks of any kind. I have put about 50 miles on this during the rebuild process and after. This thing is a torque monster. Not for the beginner rider.
I have posted pictures of some of the scrapes that are still visible, but its minor cosmetic things. The front rim had a ding that I sanded down and painted to match the rim.
The key got a little bent in the crash and I've straightened it out as best as I could. It turns just fine in the ignition and the gas cap, you just have to wiggle it a bit. The lock smith in our town closed so I don't have anywhere local to try to get another key made.
I'm being as straight forward as possible, not trying to hide anything. It has a clean clear title and its ready to be turned on and driven home. I did the best I could with what I had. You're totally welcome to modify it to your liking if you buy it. Text, call or email any questions.
Below is a link of me starting and revving the bike.
