2003 Mariah SX20 Bow Rider in Exceptional Condition - $15,500 or Reasonable Offer
We purchased this boat from a boat dealer in Little Rock in June of 2008 when we lived on the lake. We now live in town and we just don't use it any longer. Since we've owned it, I can count on two hands how many times we actually took the boat out. In total we did not put many hours on the motor. When considering if you want to purchase this boat, please understand the condition is well above an average 2003 boat you will find elsewhere. We are not attempting to sell it for any more than what it is actually valued at.
The price of $15,500 breaks down as follows:
NADA Average Value of a 2003 Mariah SX20 with the included options is around $12,500. NADA also outlines that if the boat is in "Exceptional Condition" and Above Average, it is worth "significantly more than the Average Value". The Exceptional Condition means that the boat is in a condition when purchased that nothing needs to be done cosmetically or mechanically to place it in the water and go. This is what the condition of this boat is. Therefore, the Exceptional Value, as a rule of thumb, increases the value around 10%, to around $13,750.
The boat is paired with a matching green Tennessee Trailer. NADA Average Value of the 20' Trailer for this boat is around $1300, including additional value for custom wheels.
Lastly, are all the items included with the sale. Skis, ropes, gloves, several excellent life vests in various sizes, docking bumpers, a cover, etc.
Putting all this together is where we got to the price of $15,500. If you are going to purchase this boat using a bank loan, be sure they have all the information regarding the options on the boat and trailer. Otherwise the bank will see the Average Value of $12,500 and go no further. Also be sure they add on the price of the trailer, as many people that purchase a boat do not consider that the trailer is a pretty decent cost on it's own.
It has always been garage kept, washed and cleaned inside and out after each use, and meticulously maintained. We had it completely gone through and an annual service completed last June of 2012, and it has not been on the water since that annual maintenance. The annual maintenance included a new battery, oil change, gear lube change, and front to back inspection.
