Here's what I can tell you about this trailer. In 2012 my parents unexpected sold their farm in Iowa, and called me to let me know I had to get my hoard of lumber out of their barn (I own a portable sawmill, and had piles of wood slabs stashed in various locations). So, I had to find a trailer to haul it away. As I live in Michigan I looked for whatever trailer I could find between Michigan and Iowa, and I found this trailer on ebay and I picked it up on my way to the farm. Over the past decade I have used this trailer mainly to store wood in my driveway. I built a metal frame that was covered with tarps and I jacked the trailer frame up to take weight off the tires. The tires and wheels by the way were purchased right after I got the trailer to Iowa. Although the previous owner had said there was lots of tread on the tires, the tires apparently had been exposed to the weather for many years. Also, the wheel rims looked rustier than I cared for so I bought all new wheels and tires. So, with the trailer comes those four old wheels and tires, one of which was replaced with a new tire to be used as a spare (still unused). Last summer I replaced all the wires to the lights as I found some of the ground contacts had poor connections. The rear axle on the trailer is equipped with brakes and those definitely work. While I've owned the trailer I've driven it to Iowa once more and to New Jersey twice to pick up some larger machinery. Other than that it's been sitting in my driveway supporting a thriving crop of lichens.Concerning the storage frame I built, it it intended for supporting tarps and stationary storage. I'm sure it can travel on the highways if it is strapped to secure it. I've seen a few other trailers with this exact design for sale on ebay, but with different names on them. I've tried calling the telephone number listed on the trailer's name plate but that number is no longer in service.Ask questions if you need more information/photos.
