My story
Special needs girl looking for her special people!
BELLE - 1+ year old, 43 pounds, house trained, good with kids and dogs, no cats.
When you look at 1 year old Belle, you can see how sweet but nervous she is. She has already been in a shelter cage twice in her short life! She can be described as a special needs gal who has a history with some neurological issues. Her front paw folds under when she walks, trots, even just standing. Interestingly, this creates a gait like the Lipizzaner Stallions, royal, regal. What we have discovered is that Belle may not need extra vet care bc her condition is congenital. Dogs like Belle are truly special and we all want to help! But please note that we need to be sure we are financially ready and able to care for them. Belle is a bit nervous at first but will warm up to you. It even took us a couple tries to get out of the building bc she was so hesitant, unsure. We eventually made it and you can, too, if you give her a chance! We are discovering how friendly Belle is with other dogs, too! She seems playful and lively, even with her bum paw! It doesn't stop her from running and jumping with the others. Come meet Belle at the VBACAC located at
341 S Birdneck Road in Virginia Beach .Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 21, 2023, 9:23 pm
