Up for sale is an absolutely stunning 1998 Gibson Les Paul Standard. This guitar is a beauty!
It's very eye-catching, with a vibrant wine red finish, chrome hardware and cream-colored accents. It's extremely clean, and in excellent condition, with only a few very light dings. The finish has great shine, and the chrome hardware really makes it pop. There is no buckle rash or damage to the finish. It plays and sounds great, with very little fret wear. The tuning pegs are genuine Grover locking chrome tuners. They match nicely with the guitar's other original chrome hardware.
This guitar is an experience to play, with rich sound from its superb sounding original pickups. The bridge pickup tone is nice and crunchy with lots of treble and mids. The neck pickup has a very warm, smooth and crystal clear sound. Geat sustain all over.
I've taken extremely good care of this beautiful guitar, having always wiped down strings and fingerprints after every use, then placed in its case. I restrung the guitar and did a cleaning (not that it needed it) prior to listing here, so it's immaculate and ready to find a new home.
There is a small hairline crack on one side of the bridge nut; it was present when I bought the guitar used in 2002 (later on, I was told by a guitar tech that this is superficial and in no way will affect the guitar, and over the years that I've had it, I've found that to be true; no problems whatsoever).
Included is the original Gibson hardcase, which is in great condition. It has Les Paul's signature fuzzy pink interior, complete with a full guitar satin overlay cover. There is a storage compartment inside as well. The exterior of the case has a combination lock (I'll provide the exact combination when shipped). There are three exterior case clasps. The fourth (located on the hinge-side rear of the case) came off. This in no way affects the functionality or usage of the case.
Also included are two chrome locking pegs for a shoulder strap. The guitar stand pictured is not included.
