Zoom Classic Cars is proud to present this BMW Z3 M Roadster. The
1998 BMW Z3 M Roadster is a high-performance sports car that
perfectly embodies the fusion of exhilarating driving dynamics,
sleek design, and open-top motoring. With its powerful engine,
agile handling, and iconic styling cues, the M Roadster continues
to captivate enthusiasts with its timeless appeal and spirited
driving experience. In 1998 BMW's Motorsport division created a
meaner version of the Z3 dubbed the M Roadster. The M comes with
240-horsepower 3.2-liter inline six, a five-speed manual
transmission and rides on a stiffened version of the Z3 chassis
with sticky 17-inch rubber mounted at each corner. The result is
something like a German translation of an old big-block Cobra. This
1998 BMW Z3 M Roadster is a highly sought after black-on-black
convertible. The vehicle has just under 52,000 miles on it. The car
is equipped with fully functioning fuel gauge, temperature gauge,
speedometer, odometer, tachometer, amperage meter, oil pressure,
clock, air conditioning, leather seats, power windows, power locks,
all the original manuals, original tools, and convertible top. New
European style headlamps and taillights have been installed and
rewired. The vehicle features a customized stereo system ($3,500)
with 240-watt x 4 speakers, 10-inch subwoofer, all new wiring, and
a large touchscreen that includes Bluetooth & Apple CarPlay. In the
last five months a former BMW mechanic has replaced the head
gasket, thermostat, new driver's side window motor, fuel filter,
stainless-steel high-performance exhaust, spark plugs, and wires.
In addition, all fluids have been changed including oil, brake
fluid, transmission fluid, differential fluid, coolant, power
steering fluid, and hydraulic fluid for the convertible top. In
addition, a new piston for the convertible top has been installed.
The Michelin tires appear fairly new, and it is unknown if the
clutch is original or a replacement. The seller is meticulous about
the care of his vehicle, and it shows with the clean appearance
with virtually no evidence of use. The only noticeable flaws are
the rear bumper has recently been touched up in one spot, and there
are a couple tiny knicks in the hood as to be expected by the age.
The driver's seat is just beginning to show some faint wear. The
current owner has owned it less than a year and found that not
everyone in the household wants to drive a manual transmission
vehicle, which prompts the sale. There is no evidence of ever being
in an accident. If you value the thrill of the open road and the
timeless appeal of a classic sports car delivered by a combination
of power, agility, and open-top exhilaration, this may be just the
vehicle for you! The vehicle is located in LaGrange, Illinois.
