Sara” 1997 Type T-2 Kombi “Clipper” Transporter

　　This "KOMBI HOME" Surf Camper was restored and imported from Brazil by Reborn Customs and Classics LLC in 2023. A complete interior/exterior renovation of a "well cared for" school bus that includes an entirely new wood, accented custom cabin and  a "rock and roll" bed/bench seat that sleeps two. The fully insulated interior (for noise suppression and heat retention) is heated by an independent remote-controlled diesel heater with vented fresh air intake and exhaust out-take. This "Kombi Clipper" as it's known in Brazil, is the VW transition design from the old "split window to the "Bay" window.  A 15 window chassis and salon " barn doors", it has a full length" ragtop," heavy duty vinyl sunroof. The Kombi Clipper is Unique to Brazil. This model was  built as a transition bus design and has been outfitted with additional safety features to include front disc brakes, and a three point front seat belt system The fully renovated ORIGINAL 1600 power plant has dual carburetors, electronic ignition, and two batteries. The auxiliary battery is dedicated for diesel heater starting and LED lighting for camping. The heater is independent from the engine when it is not powering the vehicle. The diesel heater is designed to run for 24 hours on a 5 liter fill-up and has a remote control for remote temperature adjustment. The Brazilian hardwood ceiling and wood accented wall paneling is unique for a bus of this generation and is made to " factory standards" and show quality. The bus includes a custom chrome roof rack with matching color, vintage surfboard as well as a Marley " Get Together" bluetooth rechargeable portable sound box. Other features include a custom "Runner"gear shifter, VW logo wood steering wheel, passenger area laminate flooring, and custom 15" wheels and numerous detail finishes that are not commonly found on Bay window custom restorations.. All these details make this bus both unique and of the highest quality offered anywhere. Extensively tested and detailed since restoration, this KombiHome camper is perfect for weekend mountain on beach excursions, and represents hundreds of hours of craftsman quality work. This is a "one-of-a-kind" bus with classic styling and numerous "resto-mod" upgrades that will continue to receive car show awards and set new standards for Brazilian sourced VW restorations offered in the American market.

　　Original Volkswagen matched chassis and engine with a clean South Carolina State Title and registration. This is an original VW T-2 Transporter manufactured in the San Bernardo VW plant Sao Paulo, Brazil to VW specifications and factory standards. Totally renovated and detailed to "like new" or show quality conditions in 2023 and imported in a closed container and garage kept since June 2023.
