First off, this bike has been pampered for the last two years we have owned it. I have all the service records from myself and the previous owner of 15 years. He was a Fogie like me and very particular as am I about the presentation and running order of our bikes. This cycle is in wonderful condition for a bike of this age. The paint and body chrome are nearly flawless and there are a few minor scratches on the pipes from normal wear. The bike has never been layed down and it shows. All service is up to date and the cyle runs great. Everything works perfectly and I always have all systems inspected when I have the oil changed at the dealer. The battery and rear tire were replaced last year.(The first 3 pictures show the new rear tire) The others were shot before tire was replaced so they show the old tire which has faded whitewall.) The front tire was replaced a year before that only 3k miles ago. They both have over 75% tread remaining easily. Both front and rear brake pads were replaced last year less than 2k miles ago. Synthetic oil of course. This is a good honest bike that is ready to ride! Now for the goodies.
We took the saddle bags off and store them in our house since we do not use them.(pictured) They are in marvelous shape for thier age with SUPPORT LINERS inside the bags to retain their shape! Look at all the old bags that get smushed without them and look like....! You know. So we added a really cool fender bag that is on the old school fender rack that was installed on the bike. The bag has the same stamped braided leather on the sides as the seat and saddle bags do. It also matches the windshield bag and tank bib. It holds as much as one saddle bag does as well. The saddle bags are included in the sale of course. As well, I have the passenger seat and back rest with the old school grab rails that can be found on the last picture of the listing. We also added chrome accent foot board inserts and foot control pedals (pictured) that are much more classy than the stock ones.
The handgrips match those as well. The bike comes with two windshields that you will be able to pick out in the pictures. One is full size (stock) and has some scratches. The other is a look-over medium size one that is on the bike now and is all but new. I much prefer it. Also the bike comes with two solo seat back rest pads. One low and one higher (as can be indentified in pictures). One added safety feature( that we just added) and is HUGE to your visibility to cars is amber colored REAR (turn signal) running lights that stay on when bike is running and flash like a brake light when braking. Like the tail light. Stock rear turn signal lights are not lit till you brake! These can be seen in the second from the last picture of the listing. I would not ride without them now! Now for the more rare and hard to find stuff! -You will see the "Cheese Grater" rear fender piece pictured as well as the retro plate surround and braided mud flap. Moving to the front fender you will see the chrome fender rails and chrome fender tip and braided mud flap. Lastly notice the chrome Lindby engine guard.
This is the nicest and most expensive production crash bar for this bike. First class! Really a stunning bike and looks amazing next to our 2003 Springer Custom (also pictured). The attention to detail with the old school accessories really set this bike apart from many others. And some of this stuff is getting really expensive and hard to find. The bike has been parked in our climate controlled garage and the battery is put on a Battery tender during the winter. You will not be dissapointed with this bike.
