About the ONLY thing the Virago wasn't designed to do extremely well is sustained high speed (70+) interstate type riding, primarily because of it's light weight and factory gearing.
Comparable are HD Sportster / WideGlide, Suzuki Vulcan, Kaw Intruder.
Because she's 18 years old she's certainly not perfect. Near as I can tell it has NEVER been down. She is still dressed in the original factory Teal and Black on the original Tank and Fenders, has both color matched side panels, the metal is completely dent free, both of the color matching side covers are present, and the paint is still remarkable. It is a great solid bike for relatively little money. If you're new to riding, or just need a commuter ride, this is your best buy. I get 45MPG from every tank, with usable range of about 130 miles.
