Downdraft powered by the 5.2L V12 producing 455 bhpA 25th birthday
present from Lamborghini to the world, the final instalment in the
Countach dynasty was launched in 1988 at the Italian Grand Prix at
Monza. In many ways, it represented the most usable and ergonomic
of all Countach variants. Where the original LP400 'Periscopio'
existed in spite of its driver, the 25th Anniversary edition took
its owner's comfort into account with electric windows in place of
the 'keep-fit' originals, electrically adjustable seats, and an air
conditioning system capable of matching the heat produced by the
mid-mounted 5.2-litre V-12.Despite being the final iteration of the
Lamborghini Countach, the 25th Anniversary accounted for the lion's
share of production, with no fewer than 657 examples leaving
Sant'Agata Bolognese between 1988 and 1990. Among them was this
car, chassis 12637, an attractively specified Rosso Siviglia over
Black leather with red piping example that was delivered to its
first owner in Sweden back in October of 1990. Lamborghini Polo
Storico has confirmed that our Countach was produced in early 1989,
meaning that it is quite possibly one of the first ones built. Also
the VIN gives us reason to believe that this is the case. She was
imported by her second and current owner to Belgium in 1992 with
1310 kilometers driven, who has had her ever since. The invoice
from 1992 is still present with the car. She has only driven 4960
kilometers since new, which can be backed up by her outstanding
quality of her mechanicals, interior and exterior. Being a 2 owner
car with such low mileage is truly unique and a rare opportunity
which we are proud of to bring to market.Finished in its original
shade of Rosso Siviglia, she stands out amongst the crowd. This
particular Countach is in excellent condition with a stunning
exterior and a beautifully detailed engine bay. The engine bonnet
still shows the Carbon Kevlar weaves through the stunning Rosso
lacquer paint. Inside you will find an equally immaculate 'Nero'
leather interior with red piping and red carpets. Very period
correct for a Countach. Being a 25th Anniversary, she comes with
electric seats, air conditioning, electric windows, etc. The car
has also the correct 1989 Alpine 7385L radio installed in working
condition and with the original Alpine manual. Our 25th Anniversary
is equipped with the 5167 cc V12 engine with the original 6
downdraft Webers producing 455 bhp. Attached to a 5 speed manual
gearbox. This means that this Countach has a top speed of 295 kph
and does 0-100 kph in 4.5 seconds. Our mechanics have given her a
complete check and can confirm that she is in excellent condition.
She is running her original set of spotless factory original O.Z.
wheels and the correct Pirelli P-Zero Assimetrico front and rear
tires. Even the original spare wheel is neatly tucked away in the
front bonnet. She runs and drives like the day she left the
factory. She comes with all of her original owners manual, factory
service manual, etc.The Lamborghini Countach is without doubt the
most iconic automobile of the 80's. It was a poster car for a
generation. Those who lived through this decade memorize the cars
incredible looks and performance. Original and well maintained
models become increasingly difficult to find, exceptional examples
are quickly being snatched up by collectors. This Countach is very
well preserved and a wonderful opportunity. This is really one of
the nicer examples on the market.
