This 1988 Lamborghini Countach 5000 QV is one of approximately 610
examples produced. It is finished in red over black leather and is
powered by a fuel-injected 5.2-liter quad-cam V12 engine mated to a
5-speed manual transmission. This Countach is equipped with a
limited-slip differential, servo-assisted ventilated disc brakes,
rack & pinion steering and independent suspension with quad rear
coilovers. It was ordered new from Claudio's Italia Sports Cars in
Sherman Oaks, CA, with an optional V-shaped rear wing and has been
fitted with a European-style front bumper (in place of the
U.S.-market rubber impact bumper). The U.S.-market lighting has
been retained, as have two rubber bumpers at the center of the rear
panel. Braking is addressed by servo-assisted ventilated discs at
each corner. The interior is trimmed in black leather covering the
fixed-back seats, door panels, console, sills and dash. Charcoal
carpeting is covered by black floor mats accented by red "snorting
bull" logos. Interior features include a gated shifter, power
locks, electronic climate control and an Alpine cassette stereo.
The air-conditioning system was recharged in December 2019, with
the dryer bottle replaced at that time. The leather-wrapped Raid
steering wheel frames a 320-km/h speedometer, a tachometer with a
7,500-rpm redline and gauges monitoring voltage, oil temperature,
oil pressure, coolant temperature and fuel level. This Lamborghini
rides on 15-inch OZ alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero
Asimmetrico tires (225/50ZR15 up front and 345/35ZR15 at the rear),
with 2017 date codes shown all around. A compact spare secured in
the front compartment is mounted with Michelin rubber. This
Lamborghini comes with the original purchase documents, invoices
since new, owner's manuals, a tool kit and a clean CARFAX report.
