1987 Toyota Dolphin Motor home, Makeover this amazing motorhome has given wonderful Service. It has the 22R 4 cylinder motor and automatic overdrive transmission, and  throttle body fuel injection, You can tow a small car, after all it is based on a one ton chassis it has Airlift airbags on the rear. I towed a small car to Texas and got around 15 mpg. (Towing) logged!The motor although famous Is not a real powerhouse or racecar motor,  so you have to use (wisdom and Care)(slow down your thinking and speed) for others safety as well as yourself and the vehicle, when towing a car or trailer allowing a safe distance between you and the car ahead of you for stopping the (towed vehicle) behind, as it is pushing you when stopping, when pulling, the (towed car ) is trying to hold you back, when accellerating  you have to help the automatic transmission by listening to your motor, and shiftting to a lower gear to keep your transmission cool , and not overworked  About the coach, the coach is OK inside and yes it could be lived in, but it is tired and needs to be brought up to standard, for example (the curtains need to be replaced, the Captains chair needs to be recovered) the coach needs to be then improved or changed and brought up to standard and completely cleaned. The carpet is clean it was always covered by a runner and always kept clean. Therefore the reason I am going to sell The Vehicle as a makeover, to have someone bring it back to it's former splendor ,The micro wave works, the refridgerator and toaster oven also work, both air conditions worked as well. The original cooking stove has been removed for three benefits. (1) more counter Space, it had none. (2) it rattled going down the road. (3) to make more cupboard space below for electric fry pan and slow cookerThat replaced the stove.I want to see it go to someone who has a little talent and is interested in repairing or transforming the Dolphin into its former state.  Someone who could invest a little work and money and when finished could have a Nice motor home at a reasonable price and get good Gas Mileage, maybe even sell it after it is fixed up for double their money, when they are finished fixing and adjusting and recreating.  The roof is a domed roof, (inside the dome is the air-conditioner) the air-conditioner is now no longer a head banger.thanks to this change   While I was at my winter home in Mexico The roof sprung a leak,(not in the dome,) this penetrated to The ceiling causing some staining to the off white carpeted ceiling, but no structural damage, ceiling can be repaired with stain killer type paint (off white Paint) better yet pull down the damaged carpeting and install new, after  repairing the leak, the roof  has been covered with a tarp to prevent further leaking Due my age I will leave it for new buyer at makeover. There is no rust on the Toyota, the motor did not use much fuel ,20 mpg prox logged not pulling a car or trailer and didn't use oil when I shut it off, and the transmission worked good as well. Still makeover!  The coach has  2 Air conditioners, microwave, refrigerator, toaster oven, nice counter top, furnace, captain chair, heater, full length Awning,clean carpet, trailer hitch, ceramic tile on shower floor, Vehicle has only 101281 easy driven miles,  .                 Terry (Owner vintage Dolphin,)    Update Oct 17 2023  The fuel pump has been repaired ,thus allowing the motor to now start (runs well) , replaced battery with a larger heavy duty battery.  The brakes were checked and the master cylinder was replaced along with a rear brake hose and brakes were bled then vehicle was test driven  for around 8miles and functioned well.  Note Most repairs on the Dolphin should be easy for a do it yourselfor to do these simple repairs usingbasic tools,TRI square, saw, hammer, screwdriver, etc. some work maybe farm out to a pro such as upholstery, electrical.carpenter, or advice,  your choice.   Thanks Terry.    There you have it !  Still the Dolphin will be sold  "AS" and  "Where IS".                  Terry  (Owner vintage Dolphin)
