I'm selling my 1987 Airstream 345 self contained motorhome. Owned by an elderly couple for many years prior to my ownership, this classic piece of Americana is ready for new ownership. A low-mile example, it's only travelled 53,683 miles since new. I have driven the unit aprox 900 miles over the last 2 years. It runs exceptionally well and doesn't miss a beat. It's powered by a Chevrolet 454 V8 and rides on a Chevy P30 truck chassis. Parts are available at any NAPA auto parts store. All manuals, books, brochures, and maintenance paperwork are included. The fuel system has been updated, including new fuel lines and filters. Ten new tires installed. All new brakes front and rear, including the tag-axle have been replaced with new rotors, calipers and pads. Classic high quality oak cabinetry. Upholstery is original and in fantastic condition. The original beige carpet has been replaced with a high quality dark green carpet with no rips, tears or stains. A few rivets above the rear wheel area have some corrosion around them. The original rearview camera does not work and has received some damage. A modern wireless / digital camera should be installed. The joystick controlled roof-mounted spotlight works and is a lot of fun to operate. It's a non-smoker rv. No leaks in the roof panels, or windows. Dual propane furnaces (bedroom and living quarters) work great. Dual Coleman roof-mount air conditioners. The rear AC unit needs a charge. I would replace the AC units with modern units that are more efficient and effective. Three-way Dometic refrigerator works on gas and 110V. Cools and freezes. Convection oven and microwave work. 12 gallon Propane water heater works but is sometimes difficult to ignite. 80 gallon water tank and pump work great. Clean shower and bathroom. All the plumbing works with no leaks. Electric insta-hot water faucet next to the sink faucet does not work.It's been disconnected. Onan 6.5 KW twin cylinder generator with 1278 hrs runs great. Included are the 3 original Zip Dee folding chairs. Fabric on chairs match the awnings. Also chaise lounge attachments. Awnings are in great shape, not moldy or faded. A large outdoor zip-up tent that snap mounts onto the side of the RV under the awning, is also included. Due to the lightweight aluminum construction and aerodynamic shape, fuel economy isn't bad at all. Expect somewhere between 11 and 15 mpg depending on driving style.
