1985 Woodrup Giro Touring, largely set up with original components.
This has been an excellent bike for longer rides and tons of fun on mixed surfaces.
The bike rides smoothly and the 32mm tires absorb a lot of the roughness of the locally poor roads here in Duluth.
This is a handmade English frame, with Reynolds 531, from one of the premier makers in the UK.
Tires are updated to Riv Jack Brown, and a new Nitto Rando bar was just added.
New Waxwing custom Ancien rando bag is included for full price offer.
This was custom made for the bike, and is designed to securely attach to the small tombstone on the front rack, and also has clips to secure it to the rack underneath.
It's a clever and convenient system that holds the bag on even over flowy and bouncy singletrack.
It also includes a custom, matched tool roll that fits neatly in the front pocket of the handlebar bag.Frame is in good overall shape and shines up nicely.
It does have a missing eyelet in the rear, for a rear rack - this could be repaired, or ridden as is.
It has some patina, pictured.
There are two notable flaws.
One is a spot where there has been some chain suck that rubbed off the paint and appears to have some light corrosion.
The second is a spot where something dripped above the downtube name decal, which is also pretty worn.
I have a set of panniers matching the front bag, and these were designed to mount on the front rack.
If desired, they're negotiable.Component highlights include:
Original SunTour drivetrain, including F/R derailleurs, Accushift barcons, and Superbe brakes.
Bar Cons are set up indexed, but also can be set to friction mode.
Phil Wood hubs and BB, Wolber 700c wheels,
It's also got a small drop stop tooth attached to the seatstay, for a bit of old school cool.
This build kit was a top of the line build, back in the day.Original fenders, and frame pump included, along with vintage Blackburn front rack.
Pedals and bottle cages are not included.
